Fishing Club

If you love your fishing and social activities then the St Georges Basin Fishing Club has a fun and friendly environment for you to meet like-minded people. Our fishing competitions are held on the 4th weekend of each month with weigh-ins at The Fisherman’s Hut – The Country Club St Georges Basin. Access is through the side-gate near the Bowling Greens.

Membership is only $10 per year and can be purchased at Club Reception. Fishing is a great sport that you can get the whole family involved in and participate in all year round!

Monthly Weigh-Ins on Hiatus

Please note monthly weigh-ins are currently on-hold due to concerns surrounding social-distancing. We will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates when possible. The Fishing Club will meet again in March 2021 to reassess. 

Junior Fishing

One of our keen young fishers with her catch of whiting.  We are all looking forward to the time when we can resume our regular weigh in days with  the meantime, enjoy what has been caught in the past and the joy young people such as Brodie get from this open air activity.

On this day, she earned the weigh master’s prize against all of the adult fishers.  Well done and we are keen to see what she can do next.
