One of the biggest boxing events in Sydney has been confirmed for December 16 with Australian Tim Tszyu taking on Kiwi fighter Bowyn Morgan. It will be the first stadium show in Sydney since Anthony Mundine defeated Danny Green at Sydney Football Stadium in front of 30,000 spectators at Sydney Football Stadium. Due to the impacts of COVID-19, Tszyu will become the only fighter worldwide to headline two stadium fights in 2020.

This will be Tszyu’s first fight in the ring since defeating Jeff Horn in Townsville in August. He’s going up against stiff competition with Morgan defeating his past three opponents and not experiencing a loss since 2016.

The other highly anticipated fight of the night is Paul Gallen v Mark Hunt. Originally expected to face off in April, this was rescheduled due to COVID-19. Hunt is known as one of UFC’s biggest hitters and his antics in and out of the ring. However, Gallen is known for being one of NRL’s toughest players with 348 games under his belt and currently remains undefeated in his 10-fight career.
