2019 Bowls NSW Grade 2 State Pennant Finals
July 26, 2019 @ 8:00 am - July 28, 2019 @ 5:00 pm

Seven different locations around New South Wales are gearing up to host the State Pennant Championships Finals, being held in July.
The State Pennant Championships are held across New South Wales, bringing an array of experienced bowlers, and their families and supporters, into local communities across New South Wales for two days of intense play.
The NSW State Pennants is the oldest event on the NSW calendar. The competition plays-off in a Sides event of 12 players. Grade 1 is administered by the NSW Bowls State Match Committee in conjunction with local Zone Match Committees. The Zone Match Committees administer Grades 2 to 7 with the assistance of the State Match Committee.
Club sides that have qualified for the finals competition, are the champions of their Zone/Conference formats and commit themselves to the tournament against representatives from each of the other Conferences/Zones at the State Pennant Championships. Players represent their club and themselves at this leading event.
Each side is made up of a minimum of 12 players, so there is potential for over 200 players embarking on greens in each grade in many communities across New South Wales. Each grade final is played in a different location which provides a great boost to local communities, both socially and economically. With bowlers covering a vast range of ages, many bowlers’ families will be travelling with them into these local communities to show their support of the sport and also of the hosting community.
The Country Club St Georges Basin in conjunction with Husky Sports will be hosting the NSW State Pennants Championship Grade 2 on the 26thto the 28th July.
This will see over 200 players visiting the Shoalhaven region, providing a high level of sportsmanship and economic benefit to the local community. This gives us the opportunity to showcase our club, provide services to all the attending bowlers and their families, and showcase the beautiful surrounding areas of the Bay & Basin which we call home. We welcome all the local community to come and watch the final series, with play starting on the 26th July”.
Bowls NSW has over 20,000 registered players in the Pennant Series across the state, who have all been competing over the year to play in these State Pennant Championships.
